Franco-German Cooperation: Servi Doryl Hosted an Official Delegation at Its Langeais Facility

On Thursday, July 2, our production facility in Langeais (Indre-et-Loire) had the honor of hosting a high-level official delegation. We welcomed Mr. Gunther Krcihbaum, Deputy Minister for European Affairs and official German representative and expert on European issues in the Bundestag, as well as Ms. Sabine Thillaye, Member of Parliament for our Indre-et-Loire constituency, Chair of the National Assembly’s Committee on European Affairs, member of the Committee on Defense and the Armed Forces, and Chair of the Bureau of the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly.

This visit highlighted the strength of our industrial presence in the Centre-Val de Loire region and the success of our European synergy through our membership in the ALPMA Group.

An industrial flagship in Touraine serving the global cheese industry

Servi Doryl was selected for this high-level visit primarily because of our status as the world’s leading manufacturer of cheese moulds. From our plant in Langeais, our teams develop and manufacture high-tech equipment exported to all five continents for the production of moulds for hard and soft cheeses, as well as for semi-hard cheeses.

Our successful integration into the German ALPMA Group makes our company a concrete and successful example of industrial cooperation within the European Union.

3 Core Values at the Heart of Our Business Model

This meeting also highlighted how Servi Doryl’s strategic direction is built around three fundamental pillars:

  • Proximity: We are constantly attentive to our customers’ needs, regardless of their country of production, their specific requirements, or their business developments. We also maintain strong local roots in Indre-et-Loire, where 100% of our products are manufactured, in close proximity to our subcontracting partners.
  • Innovation: Constant research to design technologically advanced products and services that meet the demands of the cheese factory of the future. And also, ongoing investment in raw materials to meet the future demands of the food industry.
  • CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility): A concrete commitment to sustainability, exemplified in particular by our recycling program for used molds, which promotes the circular economy and reduces our sector’s carbon footprint. We also undertake concrete social initiatives in education, culture, and social integration to address our sustainability challenges.

Economic Sovereignty: Promoting the Choice to Manufacture in Europe

In discussions with policymakers, the leadership of Servi Doryl and the ALPMA Group shared clear and committed messages regarding the future of our industry.

  1. Maintaining Excellence in European Technology Production

We firmly believe that Europe remains the ideal place to manufacture technologically advanced products. In the face of global competition, Servi Doryl has chosen to retain its expertise, skilled jobs, and R&D investments at its historic site in Indre-et-Loire. It is this commitment to quality that guarantees the long-term reliability of our moulds and accessories for our cheese-making customers.

  1. The Challenges of Competitiveness in the Face of Global Competition

Innovation in Europe is a strength, but it also presents significant challenges. During our discussions, we made Mr. Krichbaum and Ms. Thillaye aware of the day-to-day realities faced by European manufacturers:

  • The complexity of European regulations.
  • The sharp rise in energy costs and the instability of commodity markets.
  • The need to protect our know-how and intellectual property in the face of powerful emerging economies.

In the face of aggressive international competition, easing these constraints appeared crucial to enabling European technology leaders to maintain their global competitiveness and preserve jobs in our regions.

Official Delegation : a recognition for the Expertise of Our Local Teams

This official visit shed well-deserved spotlight on the daily work of our employees in Langeais. It is thanks to their unique expertise in plastics engineering and metal fabrication that Servi Doryl continues to showcase the industrial know-how of the Touraine region around the world.

About Servi Doryl: Based in Langeais (37), the company specializes in manufacturing moulds for all types of cheese. By combining the agility of our French facility with the industrial strength of the German ALPMA Group, we offer comprehensive and innovative solutions to dairies and cheese makers worldwide.
